Welcome to the FAMILY!!

oh!!!! finally i can say that i'm a CATHOLIC!!! haha...last time i din know wad to say when ppl asked me abt my religion...but all is diff now...haha..

YESTERDAY
Day: Saturday
Date: 10th April 2004
Time: 9.30pm
Venue: Church of Christ The King

i went to the waters of Baptism with all the great frens that i had come to know frm the RCIY grp. we got baptised with the RCIA grp too..in total there were 83 (if i'm not wrong) adults, youth and children who were all baptised ytd...

we had to be in church with our Godparents at 7.30pm...we gathered in a RCIA rm for prayers by Father Andrew and songs lead by RCIA's very own music industry..haha...while we were singing i felt v touched that now God had finally given me this opportunity to hv a closer r'ship with Him and to know that he had led me to join RCIY through Bryan (for letting me know abt CTK) and Bren (for joining w me in the 1st few mths) and for all the rest who had played a part in one way or another. Praise the Lord!!

During the Praise and Worship..i was act. kinda scared...and tot of backing out...maybe i was chicken..or maybe coz i din know wad i wld REALLY expect aft Baptism, however something inside me confirmed my faith and said that i had been waiting for this day for so long...esp this past yr...tho it wont be ez however God will ALWAYS be beside me..guiding me through it all...

aft the songs we went up for mass at 9.30pm. i can rmb that throughout the mass i was feeling a mixture of anticipation, eagerness and nervousness all rolled into one..when it was my turn to be immersed in the water..i rmbed walking into the pool thinking.."wow, the water is warm.." haha...and also "this is another chance to begin anew" it really was a FANTASTIC experience!!! be it the immersion or the baptism itself...if i was given another chance to go through it all over again...i wont turn the offer down!! NEVER!! we headed down to change into our white outfit and were presented to the community amids claps and the song "Welcome to the Family" playing in the backgrd.

took my FIRST Holy Communion...it was an experience...

we ended ard 12.30 in the morning..haha...aft that most of the newly baptised youth with our sponsors went to Checkers to gather...reached there at ard 1 or 2...cant rmb... only know that i arrived back home at 4am..slept at 5!! haha...

Well, this is not the end of my journey neither is it for the rest too..in fact this is the end of our 1st leg and teh beginning of our 2nd!! it wont be ez but with the help, support adn love from the Lord and all our sponsors and frends, we will continue to learn and grow... cant wait to see all the rest again for our Confirmation lessons starting in 2 wks time...
